2021 Fall - UH - Mon - Betsaida Ponce

The soil sample was collected from a park in Pasadena, TX called Memorial Park. The was specifically collected close to a stream connected to the Buffalo Bayou. The soil sample was analyzed for five weeks and found to contain bacteria capable of Paraoxon toleration in CSM tube. My soil sample was not able to degrade Paraoxon based on the agar plate results. There were 42 colonies formed on the agar plate. My soil sample was incapable for the toleration or degradation of Methyl Parathion.
