Pesticide Used: Zeta-cypermethrin I was unable to get a DNA sequence from my specimen because my PCR failed. To the best of my ability through research on the ABIS Online: Library identified the specimen as Bacillus cereus. My sample and Bacillus cereus are Gram-positive, rod-shaped (bacillus), grouped in chains (strepto-), approximately 3 µm in length, have no capsule, catalase-positive, oxidase-negative, and have endospores. My sample was found in soil in a home garden and Bacillus cereus is found in and around soil (also in water).
